A little about Patrick...
Patrick founded Creative Matters, a training company, in 2003 and today works with both some of the UK’s leading agencies and biggest clients to improve their creative output.
He is author of The Big Won, an analysis of the world’s best communications, from advertising to direct marketing.
He has been a Cannes juror twice and sat on the executive committee of D&AD until 2006…and with good reason!
Patrick has more than 30 years experience in the industry and a string of awards to his name including Cannes Gold, Creative Circle Gold, British TV Awards, Campaign Press Awards and a Silver from the ILR Radio Awards
He became Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather, London in 1993, before being made Chairman in 1998 and in 2001 he joined EHS Brann as Executive Creative Director of both the London Agency and their European network.
He judged on the 2009 An Post Direct Marketing Awards panel

Patrick is also Editor of Directory, the quarterly showcase celebrating the best direct marketing from around the world.
Creating meaningful connections with consumers is the key to good direct marketing. From mail through to digital, SMS, ambient and press, Directory showcases the new direct marketing ideas that cut through.
It aims to provide direct marketing practitioners with a map of new trends in DM, an update on competitor activity, a source of inspiration and key insight into developments in their sector. It's also about encouraging work that is more thoughtful, more polite and more engaging.
Directory is published quarterly in hard copy and DVD format.
