15 August, 2018: An Post is to invite applications for voluntary severance from managers and staff across all its corporate centre and support services next month.
An Post today (Monday 6th August) launched a series of four €1 stamps to mark the wide variety of activities which take place in the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), contributing to life in Ireland for almost three centuries. Located in Ballsbridge, Dublin the RDS is known as a showgrounds, as an events venue, as a familiar Dublin landmark and home to Ireland’s Philanthropic Society.

22 March 2018: An Post today issued a new €1.00 stamp celebrating the 150th anniversary of Ireland’s largest teachers’ trade unions, the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO). Founded in 1868 the INTO represents over 43,000 school teachers across the country. Designed by Dublin design studio Detail, the stamp depicts the words ‘Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation’ as if handwritten by a child.

For the UK, best post by Tuesday 13th next. All Post Offices are open on Saturday (and every Saturday) until 1pm to offer posting advice and send care packages on their way to loved ones everywhere.

An Post delivered 1.74 million parcels in the five week lead-up to Christmas 2017 - an increase of 27% on the same period last year. This is the highest number of parcels ever delivered by An Post in a Christmas season.
