An Post has a strong track record of supporting Irish cycling at every level from grassroots to the very top of the sport.
Since 2007 we have supported elite young professional Irish riders at international level as sponsor of the Sean Kelly Cycling Team at the Belgium based Sean Kelly Academy.
From 2009, leisure cycling received a massive growth in interest due to the An Post Cycle Series. The series of community cycling initiatives promotes participation amongst people of all ages and abilities. Last year over 13,500 people took part in five events across the country sponsored by An Post and the Irish Sports Council.
This year is the 60th edition of Ireland’s premier and most celebrated cycling race, the Rás and is An Post's second year as sponsor. The An Post Rás is an annual eight stage cycling race around Ireland, which will take place from May 20th -27th, 2012. It is one of Ireland’s top sporting events bringing world class sporting action and a significant economic boost to towns and villages nationwide.
An Post is also sponsor of the An Post Gorey 3 Day Cycle Race, the An Post Rás na mBan, the Irish Paracycling Squad. We are involved in National Bike Week each year and supported the Tour of Ireland from 2007 to 2009.
