Details & Finish Map Stage 4

Legend

The 135kms from Westport to Bundoran on stage 4 may just see respite in hostilities for the general classification and a tactical concentration by teams on moving their sprinters into contention for the prestigious Points Classification. The German rider, John Degenkolb, won this classification in the 2010 Rás and is now one of the leading sprinters in world road cycling.

The 135 kilometre stage is flat and fast, moving through Castlebar, Tobercurry, Sligo, Drumcliff and on to the finish in Bundoran. In the absence of intermediate sprints and climbs, the stage is relatively a straightforward one, and should see a big bunch finish on the bridge in Bundoran with the Atlantic Ocean a beautiful backdrop.
