Details & Finish Map Stage 5

Legend

The 149kms from Bundoran to Buncrana is the day the real suffering starts with no less than seven KOM climbs including Mamore Gap, reputed to be one of the steepest road climbs in Ireland. The day’s racing starts off with the main road climbs of Barnesmore Gap and Maghera Beg, with a Post Office Sprint in Burt. Once through Buncrana heading for the loop around Clonmany the riders will know that only the strongest will survive the relentless mountain climbing to remain in contention for overall honours in this year’s race. While the legendary Mamore Gap is the main feature of the Inishowen loop the KOMs at Slavary, Old Mountain and Pinch Mountain combine to make this one of the toughest stages in recent Rás history.
