Legend
After Friday’s stage finish in Killybegs the penultimate day’s racing gets underway from Donegal Town. As well as being the longest stage of the race the course is also the most technical demanding a high level of concentration from the riders throughout the day’s racing. Almost from the time the riders pass through Bundoran the roads are extremely narrow increasing the likelihood of crashes and the danger to the favourites of breakaway groups taking advantage of bunching at the front of the race making it almost impossible for riders to get across to the breaks.
After the start in Donegal town the race heads back through Bundoran en route to the Glenfarne Post Office Sprint. The category two KOM Bellavalley Gap rears up 92.3 kilometres after the start, then after passing through Bawnboy, Ballyconnell, Belturbet, and Scotshouse, the field will scale the category three Kavanaghs Hill prior to covering the final seventeen kilometres to the line in Cootehill.
