The race concludes with the now-traditional final stage to Skerries where thousands of spectators turn out to cheer and applaud the riders as they race through the town on the first of two laps taking in the steep but short Black Hills KOM climb at the entrance gate to Ardgillan Castle. The first 81kms is on fast open roads with a Post Office sprint at Nobber and a category three climb in Slane. The final 58kms taking in the KOM climbs of Pluckhimim, Cross of the Cage and Black Hills will present many opportunities for the well-placed GC riders to attempt to go clear, claw back a time deficit and take the honours as the 60th anniversary Rás winner.
