New stamp series is ‘for the birds’

Irish Birds of Prey feature on a new set of stamps launched by An Post today.

The new series continues the Fauna and Flora theme of An Post’s definitive stamps for 2010. Four of these magnificent creatures have been chosen to front the new set: Buzzard,  Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon and the Merlin.

This set of four stamps, with artwork by Killian Mullarney and typography & layout  by Steve Simpson, features striking images of these birds of prey.

These stamps and an impressive First Day Cover production are available at leading Post offices, at the Philatelic shop at the GPO or in our online shop.
