Step by Step

This promotion is running in selected offices from the 1st - 29th Februrary 2012.


• Pay two or more bills at a participating Post Office 
• Receive your promotional Setanta voucher
• Call Setanta on 0818 271 400 and quote your voucher reference number
• Terms and confitions apply as outlined below

A. In these terms and conditions:

“An Post” means An Post having its registered office at GPO, O’Connell Street Lower, Dublin 1;

“Marketing Partners” means Marketing Partners (Ireland) Limited whose registered office is at 18 Church Road, Ballybrack, County Dublin;

“Setanta Service” means Setanta Sports satellite television service;

“Setanta Sports” means Setanta Sports Hibernia S.à r.l. a company registered in Luxembourg as company number B144 924, registered office: 124 Boulevard de la Petrusse, L-2330 Luxembourg;

“Subscription” means a Subscription to the Setanta Service;

“Connection Fee” means the €5 (five euro) fee payable for connection to the 90 days Subscription to the Setanta Service;

B. The Setanta Sports Promotion is a customer reward promotion operated by Marketing Partners.

C. To be eligible to participate in the promotion, you must make two or more bill payment transactions at the same time, through An Post’s Bill Payment service between the 1st February 2012 and the 29th February 2012 (inclusive) at participating An Post Post Offices. Bills paid cannot be for the same service provider. This promotion is also available to customers who conduct any postfone transaction (sim purchase, top-up or handset purchase). D. Eligible An Post customers will be presented with a voucher (“Voucher”) entitling them to apply to avail of a 90 day Subscription for €5 (five euro) Connection Fee. This Voucher is non-transferable, cannot be sold and no cash alternative for the Voucher will be offered.

E. Subscription to Setanta service:

1. To apply to avail of the Subscription you must present the Voucher reference number to Setanta Sports when you call 0818 271 400 and, upon their accepting the Voucher, you will be entitled to a 90 (ninety) day Subscription upon payment of the €5 (five euro) Connection Fee. Vouchers issued between the 1st February 2012 and the 29th February 2012 can be redeemed up until 31st March 2012 and after this date will cease to be valid.

2. The payment method of the €5 (five euro) Connection Fee is by laser/debit/credit card. The Connection Fee covers connection and Subscription for 90 consecutive days to the Setanta Service from date of connection. The €5 (five euro) Connection Fee must be paid at the date of order.

3. Customers who avail of the Subscription must provide Setanta Sports with thirty days notice of their intention not to continue with the Setanta Service. The Setanta Service will automatically revert to the normal monthly price of €16.99 at the end of the 90 day period i.e. if the customer does not call Setanta Sports by day 60 of the 90 day period Setanta Sports will take the normal monthly subscription payment on day 91 and monthly thereafter by the same method that the €5 connection fee was taken. As per Setanta Sports Customer Terms and Conditions, 30 days notice from the next billing date must be given to cancel a normal monthly subscription.

4. A welcome letter will be sent to you within 14 days of the Setanta Service being switched on. Between day 45 and day 55 of the 90 day Subscription you will be sent a further letter that confirms that you may opt out by contacting Setanta Sports by the means set out in the letter if you do not wish to pay the normal price for the Setanta Service after the 90 days Subscription ceases.

5. The promotion is not available to current Setanta Sports customers or Setanta Sports customers who have cancelled their connection to the Setanta Service at any time in the 60 days prior to availing of the 90 day Subscription or whose Subscription to the Setanta Service has been terminated at any time in the 60 days prior to availing of the 90 day Subscription. The promotion is only available on satellite in the Republic of Ireland. The promotion is not available on any other platform e.g. cable, broadband or mobile. The Customer must provide the equipment necessary to avail of the Setanta Service. No Sky connection is required.

6. Setanta Sports Digital Satellite Subscription terms and conditions, available at www.setanta.com apply in addition to the special terms and conditions of this promotion.

7. This promotion is subject to promotional availability. In the event that there are no Subscriptions available, neither Marketing Partners nor An Post is liable or responsible for any and all loss, damage, expense or disappointment suffered by you due to such non-availability.

8. The Setanta Service available under the promotion is limited to home use. Commercial use of the Setanta Service is not available under the promotion.

F. Limitation on An Post’s Liability

By participating in the promotion you acknowledge that the contract for the Subscription is between you and Setanta Sports only and that An Post has no liability to you for loss, damage or expense suffered by you due to oversights or delays or failures in the Setanta Service or breach of contract or negligence in relation to the Setanta Service.

G. Limitation on Marketing Partners’ Liability

By participating in the promotion you agree that Marketing Partners accept no responsibility for loss, damage or disappointment suffered by you due to oversights or delays in processing payment or service issues for which they have no direct responsibility. In the unlikely event that you encounter any service issues please inform Setanta Sports, so that every opportunity is given to rectify any issues.

H. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

I. Your Information:

a. An Post/Marketing Partners will not collect or hold personal information about you in relation to this offer. All personal information you disclose will be disclosed to Setanta Sports.

b. Setanta Sports is careful to treat the privacy of its customers with care and due regard to relevant data protection laws of Ireland. Your personal data will be used to run this promotion and to issue direct mail promotions and special deal offers. Personal details of customers will not be passed on to any third parties.
