Business Customers sending Jewellery to the UK should use An Post’s PakSafe service. Contact your account manager or An Post Customer Services at 1850 57 58 59 for further information.
Items restricted from the outbound International Mail services
For security and legal reasons, the following items are prohibited from International Mail services:
- Active mobile phone SIM cards
- Alcoholic beverages
- Animal products
- Animals
- Antiques
- Asbestos
- Bank Drafts (Bank Drafts and Sterling Drafts are accepted through the Courier Post Service)
- Batteries
- Bullion
- Business to consumer shipments for China or Russia
- Cash and coins of any currency
- Debit/credit cards and blank cheques
- Drugs and pharmaceutical products
- Dry ice
- Fine Art
- Firearms (parts or ammunition)
- Flowers/Plants
- Furs
- Hazardous or combustible material (as defined in the regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) including perfumes and aftershaves)
- Human remains including ashes
- Illegal narcotics
- Industrial diamonds
- Ink toners and cartridges
- Ivory
- Jewellery
- Medical samples
- Negotiable instruments
- Passports
- Perishable items
- Plants and plant products like cotton, seeds and tobacco,
- Pornography
- Precious metals such as platinum, gold or silver, whether manufactured or not in the form of a finished article.
- Vouchers with a monetary face value
- Works of art
or any item(s) the carriage of which is prohibited by law, regulation or statute of any federal, state or local government of any country to or through which the shipment may be carried.
