Terms & Conditions
By participating in this promotion you, the customer of An Post’s Foreign Exchange, agree to the terms and conditions below.
A. In these terms and conditions:
“An Post” means An Post having its registered office at GPO, O’Connell Street Lower, Dublin 1;
“Marketing Partners” means Marketing Partners (Ireland) Limited whose registered office is at 18 Church Road, Ballybrack, County Dublin;
“Foreign Exchange Transaction” means the use of An Post’s Foreign Exchange service (converting Euro to Dollars and/or Sterling)
“Entry Form” means the Win a Trip to London entry form (containing unique code) issued to customers in a Post Office who carry out a Foreign Exchange transaction or any postfone transaction between July 1st and July 31st 2012 (inclusive) at participating post offices.
B. The Win a Trip to London competition is an An Post customer reward promotion operated by Marketing Partners.
C. To be eligible to participate in the competition, you must conduct a Foreign Exchange Transaction comprising a minimum purchase of £20Stg or $20USD and/or carry out any postfone transaction (top up, sim purchase or handset purchasing) between 1st of July 2012 and 31st July 2012 (inclusive) at participating Post Offices. D. If you are eligible and request an entry form you will be presented with an Entry Form entitling you to enter the Win a Trip to London Competition. To enter the competition entrants must fill out their personal details and answer the question on the Entry Form and post the Entry Form to Win a Trip to London, Marketing Partners, 18 Church Road, Ballybrack, Co. Dublin.
E. Only valid entries on official Entry Forms will be entered into the competition draw. Valid Entry Forms require supply of unique code on the Entry Form, your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and correct answer to the question “How much commission does An Post’s Foreign Exchange charge?”. Supply of inaccurate information will disqualify competition entrants from receiving any prize.
F. The competition is open to anyone 18 years of age and over except employees, directors, officers or agents of An Post or family member of such employees, directors, officers or agents.
G. The competition closes on the 7th of August 2012, Entry Forms received after this date will not be accepted. Persons may enter as often as they wish provided that each entry is on an official Entry Form.
H. Entry Forms which are incomplete or illegible will not be accepted. Entry Forms on which more than one person’s name appears will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of entries, whether the correspondence relates to claims of Entry Forms being lost or delayed in the course of transmission or otherwise.
I. Only one name is permitted on Entry Forms and winnings will be allocated to the person in whose name the entry was made. The winner may be asked to provide documentary proof of their name and address. The use of a false name or address by an entrant will disqualify them from winning.
J. The winners of the competition will be drawn from all of the valid Entry Forms received. Marketing Partners decision in relation to selection of the competition winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
K. The winning entries will be drawn on the 7th of August 2012. All winners will be notified by phone on the 8th of August 2012 and in writing by the 10th of August 2012. Winning prizes will be issued by An Post Registered Post. If a winner does not respond to Marketing Partners within 5 working days of being called by Marketing Partners, then the winner’s prize may be forfeited and Marketing Partners shall be entitled to select another winner. If a winner rejects their prize, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Marketing Partners shall be entitled to select another winner.
L. There will be 3 winners of the competition selected at random from all of the valid Entry Forms received. Each prize will include 2 return economy-class flights from Dublin to London (airline(s), airport(s) and route as specified by Marketing Partners), transfers to hotel from airport and back, 2 nights accommodation at a Central London hotel, (based on 2 sharing, including breakfast, evening meal, cocktails on arrival, 2 tickets to a West End Show (tickets/seats as specified by Marketing Partners). The prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative to holiday prize elements (either in part or whole), nor will alternative tickets or services be offered in respect of any element of the prizes.
M. Travel insurance is not included in the prize package, it is the prize winners’ responsibility to purchase any travel insurance they may require before they travel.
N. Each prize winner may nominate a guest to travel with them and to avail of the prize. Any person under the age of 18 travelling as a nominated guest will only be permitted to travel with a parent or legal guardian. Each prize winner and their nominated guest must have a valid passport to travel and must satisfy any special visa requirements and medical vaccinations/other recommended medical requirements that may apply. Each prize winner and their guest are solely responsible for completing all documentation (electronic or otherwise) required in advance of travel. Each prize winner must avail of the prize between 28th of September 2012 and 25th of November 2012. The prize winners must give 30 days notice to Marketing Partners for the dates they wish to travel on. These tickets are subject to availability. Marketing Partners reserves the right to change prize details without notice and all prizes, including holiday travel dates, are subject to availability. Limitations and restrictions may be applied by Marketing Partners in respect of the dates available to prize winners. Marketing Partners are not responsible for changes made to the original time schedule of flights which can be changed due to changes in the airline schedules. Failure to attend for any reason whatsoever on the travel dates agreed and booked does not entitle the winner to an alternative holiday and the holiday prize will be deemed to have been forfeited.
O. In order to claim the prize, the winner will be required to sign any documentation as may be requested by Marketing Partners relating to acceptance of the competition prize, terms and conditions and including, but not limited to, waiver of liability release in favour of Marketing Partners and such other persons as may be determined by Marketing Partners. The individual travelling as a nominated guest of the winner will also be required to sign such documentation if requested by Marketing Partners in order to be permitted to travel.
Where a prize is to be provided by a third party, Marketing Partners accept no responsibility whatsoever for the supply, non-supply, purported supply or delay in supply of the prize including without limitation, the failure of the winner to receive ownership of or use of the prize.
P. An Post/Marketing Partners will not be responsible for any additional expenses which the winner incurs whilst on their trip, howsoever incurred and whether related directly or indirectly to use of the prize. Hotels may require guests to leave a credit card imprint or pre-authorisation on checking in to guarantee any extra purchases during the stay in the hotel. They may in addition ask you to provide breakage /damage /security /behaviour deposit. These amounts are refunded locally if there is no damage, breakage or misbehaviour or justifiable reason to retain deposit. This is not an additional charge for the accommodation to our packages and is a matter solely between the guests and the accommodation provider.
Q. By entering the competition entrants are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions of the competition. Any breach of these terms & conditions, as determined exclusively by the Promoter, will result in disqualification.
R. The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the competition.
S. The winner may be required to take part in promotional activities and the Promoter reserves the right to publish the entry, name, photograph and value of prizes paid to the winner.
T. The Promoter reserves the right in their absolute discretion to disqualify any person from the competition, to add to, amend or waive any rule without prior notice to the entrant and, in the event of circumstances beyond its control, to cancel the competition at any stage.
U. Neither Marketing Partners nor its affiliates are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any materials relating to the competition, fraudulent, late, misdirected, incomplete or altered entries; or entries which are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to post/computer or any other malfunctions.
V. a) Limitation on An Post’s Liability
By participating in the promotion you acknowledge that the contract for this promotion is between you and Marketing Partners only and that An Post has no liability to you for loss, damage or expense suffered by you due to oversights or delays or failures in the provision of the promotion or breach of contract or negligence in relation to the promotion.
b) Limitation on Marketing Partners’ Liability
By participating in the promotion you agree that Marketing Partners accept no responsibility and will not in any circumstances be responsible for any expense, distress, disappointment, loss, damage, injury, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity resulting from or attributable to the act or default of any company, firm or persons in connection with the carrying out of such arrangements or bookings or the conveyance of any client. Every booking is accepted subject to the conditions imposed by the air, hotel, insurance and other companies, firms or persons concerned with the excursion and any claim with respect to such matters must be made against the appropriate principal.
W. These terms and conditions do not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
X. Your Information:
Marketing Partners is careful to treat the privacy of its customers with care and due regard to the laws of Ireland. Your personal data will be used to run the promotion and to issue direct mail promotions and special deal offers through their partnering companies.
