Last chance to ‘Get on your bike’ for the An Post Cycle Series

Cork’s An Post Rebel Tour launches and closing date approaches for the Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford

It’s the last chance to ‘Get on your bike’ and take part in this summer’s hugely successful An Post Cycle Series, as the final two events take place over the coming weeks with the Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford, taking place on Sunday, 30th August and the Rebel Tour in Cork, Sunday, 13th September.

The closing date for online and postal entries for the Sean Kelly Tour, the third running of this event, is the 21st of August. The tour is already on its way to becoming the biggest cycle sportive in the country with over 2,000 entrants expected to take part in the event at the end of the month.

Cork is gearing up for the fifth and final event of the 2009 An Post Cycle Series, the An Post Rebel Tour, which will take place in Mallow, Co. Cork on Sunday, 13th September 2009, after the Rebel Tour officially launched this week.

One of Cork sport’s finest footballers, the Rebels’ Colm O’Neill was on hand to launch the An Post Rebel Tour at the Mallow GAA Complex on August 11th and was joined by members of An Post, Garda Síochána and Mallow GAA.
So, it’s your last chance to ‘Get on your bike’ for the An Post Cycle Series and the final two Tours in the neighbouring Munster counties provide a great opportunity for people to take part in both events. All you have to do to register for the Sean Kelly Tour is log onto where you can enter on-line (or by post).
