Air Business Supports Tudor Rose Sustainability

Air Business Group, the only global mail, distribution and integrated subscriptions management bureau, supports Tudor Rose’s sustainable publishing strategy by providing them with solutions to minimise their environmental impact.

Following the recent official ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for their main operational site and headquarters in St Albans, the highest internationally recognised standards for both environment and quality, Air Business is committed to helping their clients achieve their environmental objectives. Both Air Business Group and Tudor Rose are members of the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) which places importance on sustainable publishing.

Tudor Rose is participating in the PPA's Sustainability Action Group which has been set up to explore how publishers can understand and reduce the environmental impact of their business. Reducing the thickness of plastic film used to wrap magazines; to use polyethylene (PE) rather than polypropylene (PP) wherever possible; and to encourage consumers in the UK to recycle their PE at retailer collection points are just some of the choices publishers can make.

Teaming up with Air Business, a PPA Strategic Partner, Tudor Rose is placing greater emphasis on their recyclable PE by positioning large international and UK recycle logos clearly next to the recipient address.

“Because of our long standing collaboration with organisations such as United Nations, the company has grown up with a heightened awareness of its responsibility to manage activities in ways that contribute to society at large,” said Leigh Trowbridge, Director at Tudor Rose.

He continued, “The size and positioning of the recycle logo has been designed to urge recipients to consider its sustainable messaging.”

Jan O’Shea, key account manager at Air Business, commented: “We are always looking for ways to offer our clients a value-added quality service and I am thrilled be able to help Tudor Rose achieve their environmental objectives.”
