Security Declaration for EU Destinations

Customers sending items to EU destinations are now required to complete a new Aviation Security Declaration form which is available at all our retail offices. This form must be attached to all items containing goods (excluding documents), which are being posted to any EU destination, with the exception of Northern Ireland.

The information provided on the form will help us to better assess the contents of your item and ensure it complies with international regulations. In particular, your package must never contain any items which could be considered as dangerous or prohibited goods. If you require advice on whether anything you are posting might be classified as such, please contact the An Post Customer Services Hotline on 017057600.

This new form is not a Customs Declaration.  The information is required only in order to assist with enhancing Aviation Security.  If you are posting to a non-EU destination then Customs Declaration form CN22 or CP72 as appropriate will still be used.
