An Post helps to promote Safer Communities Campaign

The 10th Garda ‘Supporting Safer Communities’ Campaign will take place from Tuesday 25th September to Tuesday 2nd October 2012.

This ‘Supporting Safer Communities’ campaign will primarily focus on:

• Crime Prevention/Reduction of Burglary 
• Road Safety 
• Supporting Victims of Crime 
• Age Card Awareness 

A joint collaboration between An Garda Síochána and An Post will see 120,000 leaflet drops to homes around the country in areas where the crime of burglary has most increased. The leaflets will contain crime prevention advice for combating burglaries, including the recommendation that householders not keep large amounts of cash in the home. Delivery begins on 1st October 2012.
