One4all reports wins for Retail Sector - 85% increase in online redemption for One4All gift vouchers

The Gift Voucher Shop (GVS), the Irish company behind the One4all multi-store gift card brand, has reported a dramatic increase in online redemption at 85%. Overall redemption figures across all point of sale were up 10% on 2012, with redemption up 23% in December 2013 and 9.5% in January 2014. Category growth included: jewelers +24%; Electrical +31%; Department stores +11% and Fashion +14% redemption.

Final quarter 4 results were excellent showing Post Office sales up 10% year on year; Corporate Sales up 12%; Web sales up 16% - giving overall sales growth of 11%. Sales for the last quarter were €47million driving incremental business and badly needed revenue for retailers in Ireland. 

Michael Dawson, group CEO at the Gift Voucher Shop, said, “We are seeing a significant increase in the redemption of One4all Gift Vouchers particularly online with an 85% increase in 2013 which is fantastic news for online retailers.  We called on consumers to enjoy their gift vouchers and spend them – although One4all Gift Cards never expire and funds are held safe in a segregated account. It clearly paid off for the retail sector this Christmas, continuing into the New Year.

During 2013, we added 129 new retailers onto the One4all scheme making it one of the most flexible gift cards on the market, offering shoppers unrivalled choice.  The growth in online redemption is good for retailers and highlights the growing popularity of online shopping and redemption at key shopping occasions,” added Dawson.
