The theme for this year's challenge is: Witness to History: Life in Ireland in the 1900s.
The writing competition, images and extract used by the pupils are a chance to learn: about what children and families lives were like in Ireland 100 years ago.
The competition and lesson plans focus on the exhibition in the GPO Witness History Visitor Centre at the GPO, Dublin, with facts and information about where people lived, what they ate and what life was like for ordinary people a century ago.
