An Post Rás na mBan classification Jerseys

1. Individual General Classification

Leaders Jersey

This jersey is won based on the lowest accumulated time on each day of the race and at the end of the race, when the winner’ jersey is presented. There are no time bonuses on An Post Rás na mBan stages. The individual general classification on time is established by adding up the times recorded for stages and taking into account any time penalties.





2. Points General Classification

Points Jersey

The Points Jersey is awarded to riders for stage placings on each day of the race and to the overall winner has the highest placings over the whole race. The points will be allocated as follows: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for 1st to 10th placing on stages 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. No points will be awarded for Stage 4, the Individual Time Trial.

3. Queen of the Hills General Classification

QOH Jersey

The QOH Jersey is won by the rider who has the highest number of points won on mountain primes, both on each stage of the race and an overall QOH. Points are awarded on the following scale;

  • Category 1 climb, 1st to 5th placing respectively; 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4 points.
  • Category 2 climb, 1st to 4th placing respectively; 9, 7, 5, and 3 points.
  • Category 3 climb, 1st to 3rd placing respectively; 5, 3 and 1 point. 

4. Best Young Rider Classification

Best Young Rider

This jersey is to recognise young riders born since the 31st of December 1992 and is won by the top young rider in the general classification. The highest ranking rider on each day and an overall winner are presented a jersey on each day of the race.




5. Best Irish (Ireland based) Rider Classification

Best Irish Rider

The Best Irish Rider classification will be awarded to the top Ireland-based rider on general classification who is racing in Ireland has an Irish UCI racing code on their licence AND/OR has been issued a licence by Cycling Ireland.
