Temporary positions - Dublin Post Offices

An Post is currently setting up a panel from which temporary vacancies in our Dublin Post Offices will be filled.


 

The job

Clerical staff in the Dublin Retail area deliver a broad and expanding range of financial and other services to An Post Customers, using modern service aids and state of the art information technology in Company Post Offices. Staff appointed to the positions will have a 37½ hour week, a 5 day week with a Monday to Saturday attendance liability, and a requirement to attend as required at Company Post Offices within the Dublin Area. The pay is €433 per week and the position attracts 21 days paid holidays a year.

The Company Post Offices are located as follows:

  • GPO, O'Connell Street
  • St Andrew Street Post Office, Dublin 2
  • Rathmines Post Office, Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6
  • Dun Laoghaire Post Office, Lower Georges Street, Dun Laoghaire
  • Phibsboro Post Office, 336 North Circular Road, Dublin 7
  • Tallaght Post Office, The Square, Tallaght
  • Blanchardstown Post Office, Blanchardstown Town Centre

The selection process for this position will include aptitude tests, interview, medical examination, security clearance and reference checks.

The successful candidates will have:

  • the ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy; an enthusiastic and flexible attitude and approach to work;
  • strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a demanding team environment.



Applications from candidates with fluency in Irish are particularly welcomed. Applicants with a fluency in Irish will be required to provide satisfactory evidence of this and participate in Irish Language fluency validation by the Company.
