An Post Quality Continues To Improve

85 per cent of mail was delivered on the next working day during the April to June period (Q2), according to ComReg’s quality of service monitor results announced today.  This represents a two percentage point improvement on the first quarter (83%) and a five percentage point improvement on Q2 last year (80%).

“Our Quality Improvement Programme continues to make steady progress and this 85 per cent rating is a record performance on this critical Quality of Service measure. Everyone in An Post is playing their part,” said An Post Chief Executive, Donal Connell.

“These are really challenging times for Irish business.  Quality and competitiveness have never been more important.  We’re investing €150m in quality improvement through better logistics planning, facilities, scanning and tracking technology, staff training, route design and fleet improvement.  International mail continues to perform ahead of target and we’ll continue to make progress towards our 94 per cent domestic mail target this year,” he added.
