The job
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Occupational Health Advisor, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, An Post in a well-established in-house Occupational Health and Support Service. The current vacancy based in Dublin.
The person
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses who are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and who have at least five years post qualification general nursing experience in addition to a qualification to a higher diploma or degree level equivalent in Occupational Health. Candidates are not required to have previous experience, however previous experience within an Occupational Health Advisor role is desirable.
Occupational Health Advisor roles in An Post are primarily focused on areas of sickness absence and rehabilitation of employees, workplace assessments, corporate medical assessments and medical screening.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of motivation, be professionally decisive, a team-worker with a focus on the achievement of timely and successful occupational health outcomes and in particular be able to work independently to a high professional standard.
Candidate should also be able to demonstrate a record of continuous professional and service development ideally in an occupational health environment.
Candidates should have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisation and PC skills, should be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages and ideally have experience in the use of databases/HR systems.
A competitive remuneration package is available for the successful candidate with excellent terms and conditions. Annual salary €45466 per annum. Immediate start is available.
